Have you been told that your dream will never come true?

It might help to know that JK Rowling was divorced and living on welfare when she wrote her first Harry Potter book. 12 publishers rejected the manuscript before she finally sold it. Now, she's very wealthy and happily married. Thomas Edison's teachers told him he was "stupid." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "unproductive." It took him 1,000 tries before he got the light bulb to work. Ludwig van Beethoven's music teacher once said, "...as a composer, he is hopeless." Fortunately, Beethoven did not believe that criticism. He became one of the greatest composers in history. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school varsity basketball team because of his "lack of skill." He didn't give up. He worked hard and eventually won 6 NBA championships. Chicken Soup for the Soul was rejected 134 times. Now it has sold more then 80 million copies worldwide. People might laugh at you. They might have stinging critiques. A movie executive told Harrison Ford that he'd never make it as an actor. People might completely misjudge you. Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper because he "lacked imagination and had no original ideas." Borrowed from For Love or Funny
