Canadian Drug Update

Jim and Sandie shared some information with me on https://www.pricepropharmacy.com/ which sells Canadian drugs to Americans.

Once again, I'm stymied.  They do not carry the Toujeo I need and the online chat mentioned that there was a problem with mailing medication which has to be kept refrigerated. All insulin has to be kept refrigerated although they have cold packs you can buy and I would be willing to pay the extraw price if it were available. Dadgummit.

I found the site to be very user-friendly and it had some good information about diabetes, which I mostly knew, but needed to be reminded.

It's worth a look if you take expensive medications.  Jim and Sandie also have a friend that gets credit for referrals so talk to them about that information and help another with referral credits.

Thank you for all the suggestions.  I have researched everything you guys have shared with me and will continue to do so.  If you happen to hear any suggestions from someone with diabetes, please add them to a comment on any post and I will do my research.

I'll say this.  I do feel better for having researched this problem.  Knowledge is strength, even if you do not get the result you wanted.

  1. I'm confused about you not being able to use Good Rx since you're on Medicare. I have a Medicare Part D supplement and use Good Rx instead of my insurance when I can save money. Maybe your coverage is different somehow? I went to the Good Rx web site and clicked on the Help tab. You can use their program if you have a Part D supplement. They have questions and answers and I copied this:
Can you beat your Medicare drug insurance co-pay?

Medicare's Part D and Advantage programs will bring down your drug costs, but they do not always offer the lowest prices. Many chain pharmacies offer membership clubs with low-cost generics. There are a variety of coupons and discounts available on GoodRx (for free) which can provide lower prices than your co-pay.

I hope you find something to give you some relief from this highway robbery.

  3. I forgot about refrigeration also. It is looking more and more like a trip to Canada.
