I've got a Question

Does anybody wear a necklace or bracelet made out of wooden beads? Are they are natural wood or dyed wood?  I am thinking about making some necklaces out of paracord and wooden beads.

If you or anyone you know has worn this kind of jewelry I'd love some feedback of any kind.  What size beads?  How comfortable was the weight of the beads?  Really anything you might know about it.

I found some information about using the same dye I used to ice dye on the wooden beads so I thought I would try.  You know I'm always looking for a new craft to fill my day.

Here are some examples:

  1. Of course I know you're not asking the guys; but I never wore a necklace of any kind. Some guys do ... I don't understand why.

  2. I don't wear any jewelry except my wedding band, so I cant offer any advise. I'm sure whatever you make would be beautiful.

  3. I’m not a necklace person but I like those.

  4. Those are very cute necklaces but I don't wear necklaces at all even though I have quite a few. Sorry I couldn't be of any help to you on your question.

  5. I don't own any wooden bead necklaces right now. Years ago I had a natural wooden bead necklace and I loved it. It looked great with a crisp white, or denim, shirt. I don't know I got rid of it. I'd kinda like to have it now. The necklaces you show here are very pretty. I like all of them. I recall the weight of the necklace I had was not real heavy, but I definitely was aware that it was there. Maybe that's why I got rid of it. I don't know. Have fun! Hugs.

  6. I don't wear necklaces and probably would not wear large beads on a bracelet, but don't go by me because I seldom wear jewelry of any sort.

  7. I don't wear large bead bracelets; though I like the way they look, they slow down things like writing. :)
I do like necklaces, and I think I may have to make myself one of those with the little faces...so cute! I'm thinking of personalizing one for a grandmother's necklace. :)

My mother and my great aunt used to dye pearls. Remember in the 60s or 70s people used to crochet the seed pearls into rope necklaces? Here's a link to a post I wrote about them: https://fourmilesnorthofnowhere.blogspot.com/search?q=crochet+pearls
